Strange Case (Hyde Book 3) by Lauren Stewart

Blurb:
Sometimes, to see the eyes of your greatest enemy, you need to look into a mirror.

In this final chapter of Mitch and Eden's story, everyone will be tested. Morality and honor weighed against getting the job done. But desperation can make people do things they never thought they’d be capable of. And returning from hell is a pretty damn big wake-up call, especially once Mitch realizes that the woman he loves has been in a different kind of hell…and she can’t get out of it.

*** STRANGE CASE is the conclusion of Mitch and Eden’s story and may prove confusing to those who haven’t read the first two books. This novel is intended for adults. It includes lots of cursing, biting sarcasm, descriptive sex, and some seriously bad team morale.

Other books in this trilogy:
Hyde, an Urban Fantasy (Book I)
Jekyll, an Urban Fantasy (Book II)

Dear reader,
Although Strange Case marks the end of this trilogy, it isn't the end of the Hyde world. Thank you for your support and for taking a risk on a series that can be crude and cruel but is, at its core, a love story.

Angie J's Review:

I receives this book as an ARC for an honest review. (I received it cuz I pester the heck outta the author begging for more Eden and Mitch!!)

Ok for starters, if you didnt read Hyde and then Jekyll you are going to be mega confused by my review. You must and I repeat MUST read the first two novels or this book will leave you scratching your head (or in a man case his....hrmmm...well you know) because it is not a stand alone!!! However, should you enjoy being at a complete loss and not understanding anything at all, then hey read :)

So since you people who are still reading my review I am going to assume (yeah I know I shouldn't do that BUT...) you read book 1 and 2. This book happens 8 days after Mitch has totally become his Hyde. Eden/Chastity are still fully merged. Eden is doing everything she can with Cops help to find something to pull Mitch free. They are still hiding from "The Clinic" (Que scary horror movie music). They still don't know who is in charge or why they are studying Eden and Mitch's "kind" of people.

Well Landon goes off and finds himself a girl...yes ladies he gets some action. About time too right!!! Poor Cops has had to endure the marathons that Eden and Mitch had before Mitch changed. I was cheering, no lie!!!

Well obviously Mitch comes out of his transformation with some pesky side effects. Eden and him have trouble reconnecting and that made me sad on some parts. She has changed and so has he...can you believe he is actually.......wait for it......wait for it......admitting he loves Eden!!! WOW That transformation did alot for Mitch but alot against Eden.

Well the two don't spend alot of time together in this novel. They are both off fighting the clinic people. It kinda made me sad that they weren't in the book alot together it seemed. When they were together they were great but I missed THEM.

The Clinic big wig is discovered. You also get a BIG Whopper of a twist in him and who he knows Eden is. I will saw BRAVO TWIST!! I didn't see that coming at all. There are alot of fights and running while trying to figure out how to save Mitch. I will say I was a little teary at the ending of the book. Eden and Mitch have been through soooo damn much. She deserves the ring she demanded from him early on...snicker I loved that scene!!!

I gave this 4 stars because I missed the Mitch and Edens relationship dynamic. It is there in the story about them trying to have a future but they didn't seem to be together alot...yes they had hawt scenes but i missed THEM........But the book was a great end to the series. I will say there is alot of build up and introduction of the new bad guy so be patient. The build up is very very very important!!!!

After earning degrees in Fine Arts and English, Lauren Stewart wanted to see the world. A lack of funds meant that she didn’t get far. She spent two years traveling around Mexico, the Caribbean, and Canada—first as a choreographer and then an English teacher—meeting folks from all the places she couldn’t afford to go to. But that time was highly useful—she learned about herself, other people, and how insane life actually is.

Lauren reads in almost every genre. So naturally, her writing reflects that. With every book, every story, you'll find elements of other genres--fantasy, mystery, romance, paranormal, suspense, YA, women's literature, all with a touch of humor because what doesn’t kill us, should make us laugh.
