Obeying My Master (A week with my Romanian #4) by Steffie Dawn

Book Blurb:

Ella’s journey came to an unexpected halt when she had a run in with Master’s brother Vladimir but now her decision has been made and her journey continues but was it the right one?

Continue with Ella on her Bucharest adventure as she rediscovers herself with Master’s patient guidance and follow her as she learns the true meaning of trust, at his hands. Her mind continues to create inner turmoil, she doubts herself and her decision continuously but in the end, she knows what she wants and knows what it will take from her for her to get it.

Jo-Anna's Review:

The ending of book #3, I was like seriously???? You can't end like that!!!!

So we continue with Ella's journey at being a submissive. I don't want to give any spoilers but 24 hours of completely doing anything Master says? Wow. Just wow. This is by far my favorite of the series yet and I can't wait for more. It was intense, raw and I absolutely loved it!

This next installment is about trust and lets just say that some of things Master has Ella doing, makes even me cringe but Ella is strong and she gets through it and wow, the sex? Holy crap balls batman. *fans self* Makes me hot just thinking about it.

The only thing I hate about these books is that they end. Lol! Steffie always leaves the reader wanting more. She has a way with words that makes you feel like you're actually there. I just love these little hot short stories!

Kendra C. Highely - Matt Archer: Legend TOUR

Young Adult Fantasy/Paranormal
Book #3 in Matt Archer Series
Blurb:

When Matt Archer was fourteen, he was chosen—by a magic knife—to hunt monsters with a special
paranormal division of the Army. When he was fifteen, he was introduced to a global war that the
rest of the world knew very little about…and he was determined to keep it that way, no matter what
happened to him.
Things change.

Now Matt’s sixteen and he’s lost more than he ever thought he would. He’s also learned that the knifespirits have an agenda he doesn’t totally agree with. The only problem? The spirits have the upper hand,
and they plan to control the fight—and Matt.

Now, the next eclipse cycle is starting, a prominent physicist has gone missing, and Matt’s best friend’s
heart isn’t in the hunt anymore. If he loses Will—after everyone else he’s lost—Matt’s not sure how he’ll
fight alone.
Oh, and there’s one more thing. The SATs are coming.
And you thought high school was hard…
Jo-Anna's review:

I hopped on the bandwagon for this tour because well...hellooo? Matt Archer is freaking AWESOME! I love paranormal books and this series reminds me so much of Sherrilyn Kenyon's CON YA books that I had to read it.

As I read each book, it just keeps getting better and better and who knew that could happen?

I always have to remind myself that Matt is only seventeen cause he's kind of sexy. Lol! He's such an amazing person that kids can look up to. He's strong willed and even though he has girl drama to deal with, he knows when to slow things down a bit. I really love him and Ella.

Through this book, Matt goes on another journey with his knife spirit, Tink and even though she likes to control his moves, I kind of like her and can see where she's coming from in certain aspects.

As always, the book is filled with action, love, of course typical teen angst. Even though Matt and the others vow to protect the world from monsters, Matt still has to go to school like every other kid his age. Poor guy. You'd think they would home school him.

Great job Kendra! And I hope there's more books to come!

These stories are not something to read at work. Holy wow. Hot hot and more hot! As I read each installment, I'm thinking it can't get any hotter but of course, Red surprises me again and BAM, instant and utter HOTNESS!

Excerpt:

Kate took Troy's hand and led him to the burgundy couch. "Instead of telling you, why don't we show you?" She sat down next to him, running her red nails seductively up his thigh. Then she called to Jenny, "Hurry, girl, he's waiting."

The pixie came out of the kitchen with a bottle of red wine and three glasses. "I'm going as fast as I can," Jenny complained good-naturedly. She poured the wine and handed Troy the first glass. "This is for you, sexy."

Kate held up her glass to toast. "Here's to a night none of us will forget."

"Bottoms up," said Jenny. She clinked Troy's glass and wiggled her ass flirtatiously.

Troy took a long drink and put the wine down. "Okay, what's this all about?" He had a good idea, but Troy needed to hear it to believe it.

"I want to fulfill your ultimate fantasy tonight," announced Kate, as she started unbuckling his belt.

Meeting up with BE at the gondolas was a risk. Love went against everything they had promised, but the best things in life can’t be planned.

Soon Alysin will be tested.

After guarding her heart for so long, she finally let a man in and discovered that the worst things in life happened when she least expected them. When she walked in on BE with another woman and overheard their heated conversation, she suddenly remembered there was a reason she made these rules.

Double Teaser by Sawyer Bennett

Here's a treat from the fabulous Sawyer Bennett!!! Enjoy everyone!!!

---

Here’s today’s teaser and a bonus teaser scene. It’s from when Renner first sees Cillian and takes place  in the Prologue, five years before the story starts.  Xoxoxo

And then, a lone spotlight comes down on the lead guitarist just as the lyrics begin. He stops playing the guitar, swinging it to his hip and grabs a hold of the microphone in front of him. The music slows and softens, and I'm entranced as he starts singing.
He's tall and lean...almost gangly. And he's young...maybe just a few years older than me. He's Black Irish...what us Americans like to term those Irishmen that have dark hair, olive skin and dark eyes. His hair is long and shaggy, falling forward over his eyes as he sings and just brushing the tips of his shoulders. I take in the fact that he is dressed in faded black jeans that are tucked into black combat boots, a white t-shirt and a faded red-plaid shirt. As he holds the microphone with both hands, I notice he has several leather bracelets around each wrist and just a peak of tattoos shining through.
He is, quite simply, the hottest guy I've ever seen in my entire life, and I'm sure it has everything to do with the fact he's on a stage singing in the most sexy, caramel rich voice I've ever heard in my life.
She goes down, down, down...
I push her down, down, down...
Hot breath, moist lips...
She goes down, down, down...
My face flames red as I listen to the lyrics.
Cady leans over to me but she has to practically yell so I can hear her. "Cillian's good, isn't he?"
I just nod at her. That also answers my question...Cillian is the band's lead singer.
Taking another sip of my beer, I get lost in his music, the atmosphere, and the wildness of Cillian.
His lips graze the microphone as he sings and I can't help but wonder what they would feel like sliding over my lips in the same way. At one point, he looks down to our table and a quick smile comes to his face when he sees Cady. She waves at him and his smile turns bigger. His gaze moves off of Cady in a casual way, checking out the people around. His eyes skim over me and pass me by, and I feel disappointment. But just as that brief glimpse moves over me, his eyes snap right back to mine. I can see his eyebrows rise under his shaggy bangs, and then he gets an almost sensual smile on his face. I feel the redness still staining my face get brighter and start creeping down my neck under his bold perusal.
But I hold his look.
I force myself not to let my shyness prevail. I pretend that he is singing only for me.
And he doesn't look away from me for the rest of the song.

Epilogue by CJ Roberts

Book Blurb:

I’m writing this because you begged. You know how I love the begging. In fact, you probably know too many things and know them far too well.

Who am I?

Well, that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I was a whore in my youth, a killer since my adolescence, and a monster as a man. I am the man who kidnapped Livvie. I am the man who held her in a dark room for weeks. But, most importantly, I am the man she loves.

She loves me. It’s quite sick, isn’t it?

Of course, there’s more to our story than can be surmised in a few short sentences, but I’m at a loss for justifying my behavior back then. I assume if you’re reading this, I don’t need to make those justifications. You’ve already made your own.

You’re reading this because you want to know about the rest of the story. You want to know what happened that warm summer night in September of 2010, the night I met Livvie at The Paseo. It was the night my life changed all over again.

It didn’t happen exactly as Livvie said. She’s been very kind to me in the retelling of our story. The truth is far more…complicated.

Jo-Anna's Review:

***SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS***

HOLY CRAP! *points to the blurb* Did you read that? Did you?? If not, read it and then read it again. *clears throat* Ok, now for my review.

Last year or maybe it was before, a good friend of mine introduced me to the disturbingly beautiful mind of CJ Roberts and I fell in love. This is by far the most intense trilogy I have ever read in my whole life and I love every minute of it. Every word, ever sentence. CJ captures you with the raw power of seduction through the eyes of the captive and then the captor.

Epilogue <-- What a fantastic title to the ending of a wonderful story. The first two books we learn about Livvie now known as Sophia. What she went through with Caleb, being almost sold into slavery and so on.

While reading the books, I decided the second one was my favorite but this one...wow. Just...wow. We learn what happened when he came back into Livvie's life. What happened during that encounter and we learn it all through Caleb's POV. Reading the first chapter, I felt like he was actually talking to me. I got shivers while reading this book. I was entranced, captured...I was the captive in the dark while reading this book AND I read it one sitting.

Oh and the sex?? HOLY BALLS BATMAN! Wow. *fans self*

CJ did it again and I can't wait to read what she has in store for us next!

Amazing! Just...amazing.

Collision Force by C.A. Szarek Promo Tour

Book Blurb:

Book one in the Crossing Forces series

Bad boy FBI agent and feisty widowed police detective collide pursuing a human trafficker in small town Texas on their way to true love.

Bad boy, married to his job FBI agent Cole Lucas always gets his man. So when the unthinkable happens and one gets away, Cole grits his teeth and hunts human trafficker Carlo Maldonado all the way to Antioch, Texas, where he collides with Detective Andi MacLaren.

Cole doesn’t do small towns and doesn’t get involved with women he works with, but Andi tempts him in ways he doesn’t want to acknowledge.

Two murders, her partner shot and leading the investigation on her own, the last thing Andi needs is a cocky FBI agent who sees her as no more than a tagalong.

Widow and single mother Andi is used to being on her own. When Cole gets stuck without a place to stay, crashing on her couch puts them in dangerous territory.

Attraction and passion bring Andi to a place she’d left behind when her husband died. Her three-year-old son quickly wiggles his way into Cole’s heart, and he starts contemplating things—family, love—that he’d never planned for himself.

Can being forced to work together make them stronger or will their differences jeopardise their case and their hearts?

Jo-Anna's Review:

I chose to read this book because so far I have loved everything that C.A. Szarek has written. Love fantasy romance? Read Sword's Call. ;)

Collision Force is Romantic Suspense and wow does it ever live up to the genre. It's fast paced and keeps you on your toes from beginning to end. It's definitely a page turner and I didn't want it to end. You fall deeply in love with the characters and at time's want to bash their heads in. When does that not happen in a romance book? Lol!

Andi is headstrong and I just love her. Definitely one of my favorite heroine's. She keeps Cole on his toes and isn't afraid to speak her mind. She's a role model for young girls and I can't wait to read about her and Cole.

Cole...yeah, wow. Ok, he's hot. Shower scene? Holy crap balls batman. LOVED IT! Definitely yummy and a perfect alpha male. Love him!

Without giving too much away, some things happen to bring Andi and Cole together and I, as demented this may sound, really love the bad guys. They're written so well, they creep me out and that's the point right?

I think Andi and Cole will be my favorite couple throughout this series just because they were the first but I can't wait to read the next book. Great job C.A. Szarek and keep up the wonderful work!

Excerpt:

Cole cursed. He stared into the rear-view mirror in the busy parking lot, but saw nothing. He’d been so close this time.
The damn local police were breathing down his neck, and that was the last thing he wanted…or needed.
Cooperation, my ass. They needed to get the hell out of his case. He’d been too involved for too long, and he wasn’t about to let some Podunk police chief tell him what to do.
Not to mention that dumbass detective getting himself shot. Cole didn’t need the locals piecing it all together. He had to wrap up a few things before letting them in on his case. Full disclosure wasn’t on his list at all.
That bastard Maldonado had got away from him. Even two months later, that still chapped. But he’d tracked him here and been in town a few weeks with no clues. Until the shooting. Two goons dead and a police detective shot twice. And Maldonado had slipped back into the shadows. Cole’s gut told him the coward was still in town… He hadn’t—or couldn’t—move on. But where the hell was he?
Cole’s cell phone rang, yanking him from his thoughts.
“Lucas,” he said.
“Where the hell are you?” Olivia Barnes, his supervisor, barked at him. “Chief Martin called screaming at me. He said you told him to kiss your ass? What the hell, Cole? I told you to cooperate with them.”
Cole snorted. Chief Martin had misquoted him, but not by much.
“I don’t need them, Olivia.”
“Oh, don’t Olivia me. This was an order from higher up. Get that through your thick skull, dammit. Get to that station and make nice. Now.”
Cole sighed. His boss didn’t respond. Though her tone had brooked no argument, he’d been tempted to tell her to kiss his ass. It wasn’t like his record wasn’t tainted, and it wouldn’t have been the first time he’d told her off. But he held his tongue. He was damn good at his job, and Olivia knew it. Cole would play along, for now.
“All right,” he answered. Olivia was silent on the other end of the phone. Too silent.
“All right?”
“You’ve ordered me, correct?” Cole said dryly. He could almost hear her eyes narrow.
“Just like that?”
“Just like that. C’mon, Liv, I can be a good boy.”
She harrumphed. “Okay. Go kiss Chief Martin’s ass.”
“Can’t promise that, but I will go to the station.”
“Good. I can’t afford any more damage control, Agent Lucas.”
Uh oh, Agent Lucas? “Sounds like a warning.”
“It is.” Olivia lowered her voice. “I don’t want to have to yank you off the case, Cole.”
Like that would happen. “I’ll call you later.”
She started to say something, but he ended the call imagining her outraged expression—one he was quite familiar with. He smirked. Yes, he would play along…for now.
The drive to the station was short, but didn’t alleviate his irritation with the whole damn situation. He slammed the car door and winced, berating himself. He loved this car. Cole patted the hood in apology, admiring the brand new, deep metallic blue Dodge Challenger. It looked mean as hell. Like it was made for him. He’d even contemplated keeping it when this was all over.
He groaned when he took in the smallish Antioch, Texas police station, but headed inside. The asshole desk sergeant practically growled when he introduced himself, as did Chief Martin over the intercom. He ran into the female, literally, right after Sergeant Asshole-of-the-year had finally acknowledged his existence and buzzed him into the back. And although his head smarted, seeing a beautiful woman was the highlight of his morning.
“Whoa, sorry,” she said, smiling. Her chestnut hair was pulled back into a ponytail and she had the bluest eyes he’d ever seen. She was tall and slender, and he liked what he saw. She was wearing a white button-down dress shirt and snug khaki pants, and the outfit was somehow incredibly sexy.
