Serendipity - Janet Nissenson - Review

Serendipity
Janet Nissenson

Synopsis
Was meeting again an unfortunate twist of fate? Or was it just serendipity?
Julia McKinnon was convinced she’d found the one – the man of her dreams, the most seductive, experienced lover she’d ever known – and the night they’d spent together in New York was the stuff erotic fantasies were spun from. But with the dawn of a new day came only heartache and betrayal, and her dreams were snuffed out like so much fairy dust.
Nathan Atwood felt like the lowest sort of life form after seducing the incredibly beautiful girl he met in New York, only to break her tender heart with the confession that he was already involved with someone else. Leaving Julia was the hardest thing he’d ever done, and the memory of their passionate night together haunted his dreams for months afterwards.
Now fate has brought them together again, and they are forced to work alongside each other. Will Julia be able to put aside the feelings she still has for her handsome boss and forge a new life for herself in San Francisco? And how long will Nathan be able to resist the gorgeous woman he’s never really stopped thinking about or wanting?

Brenda's Review
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I was very excited to read this book after I read the synopsis.  It sounded very interesting.  Nathan sounds super hot!!  He's at a conference in New York City where he sees a beautiful woman.....twice. The third time he has to stop and talk to her.  Well after a HOT AND STEAMY night with her, he feels guilty for cheating on his fiancee.  Julia is upset and broken and runs out.  Julia cannot believe what has happened.  Nathan goes back to San Francisco.  He doesn't tell his fiancee.  Now, I don't like cheaters!  It's wrong and it upsets me to read about it.  And then you meet Cameron. OMG!  What a bitch!!  I hate her instantly!!  So then I got upset with Nathan for even liking her to begin with.  I did a lot of yelling at my Kindle with this book.  Well Julia ends up getting fired from her job as in interior designer.  She wants to move back home.  She talks with a friend of a friend about a job.  She's hired.  Well as luck would have it, or shall we say "SERENDIPITY"..... Guess who is the co-owner of the company....YEP, you guessed it.....Nathan.  Well I'll stop there.  The sex was out of this world hot!  I gotta say Nathan has quite the stamina!  I'm not sure many men could do what he did!!  And we'll just say that Julia is very flexible....yoga must really help her!!

It was a great story.  It's a very long book.  My Kindle said 9 hours.  I'm not a slow reader either.  It was a bit detailed at times and I found myself skipping some paragraphs.  BUT I just had to finish it because I knew "something" was about to happen!  and boy did it ever!!  I'll just say Karma is a bitch and she will get you in the end!!!

I would rate this story 4 stars.  I see that this will be a series. I'm glad.  I hope the next book is about Julia's twin sister Lauren.  She was a feisty thing and I can't wait to see what guy can handle her!!

Here's one of my favorite quotes:
"Touch me, fell me, own me, Nathan. This is what I live for - to be with you just like this, every day, as any times as possible.  I am definitely obsessed with you."

About the Author
Janet is a lifelong resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, and currently resides on the coast just south of the city with her husband Steve and Golden Retriever Max. She worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years before turning her focus to producing running events. She has been writing for decades but Serendipity is her first self-published work. She plans five more related books in this series, each one a standalone, so never any cliffhangers or long waits to see what happens next!
